River City
The River City shopping complex is Bangkok’s first riverside
shopping center. Arts and antiques are on sale every day

China Town
Bangkok's Chinatown is an old business center covering
a large area around Yaowarat Road and Charoem Krung Road (New
Road). It has been the main center for trading by the
Chinese since they were moved from their old site some 200 years
ago to make way for the Grand Palace and Emerald Buddha complex.
There are many small streets and alleys full of shops
and an array of stalls selling gold, hardware, wholesale food,
auto parts, antiques, fakes, textiles, stereos, second-hand
goods and just almost everything under the sun. Along
Yaowarat Road and the network of side streets are restaurants
frequented by connoisseurs of Chinese cuisine from all over
the country. At night, this busy street turns into one
of the city's longest food street.
